This site is written and edited from Toronto, traditional land of the Mississaugas, Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Wendat, and Chippewa people. Toronto is subject to a series of often broken treaties including Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit and the Williams Treaties. This land is also subject to several covenants, including the Dish with One Spoon covenant signed in what is known as the Great Peace of Montreal at the turn of the 1700s.
